Crossfirst Bank is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Leawood, KS

Overview

The Senior Accountant provides accounting support, financial analysis and reconciliations to support the financial and regulatory reporting for the Bank and its affiliates. This position will contribute to the overall success and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned responsibilities as part of monthly, quarterly and year end accounting closing.
  • Review monthly results compared to plan and historical periods and provide follow up analysis.
  • Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting topics and perform accounting tasks related to these items.
  • Prepare and reconcile consolidated financial reporting; including SEC financial reports, regulatory reports, and internal reports.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of assigned accounts.
  • Provide analytical research and support for other functions within the Finance department.
  • Utilize accounting software effectively and identify efficient ways to leverage software to complete tasks.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and analysis including implementation projects when necessary.
  • Research impact of new accounting pronouncements and model impacts to financial statements.
  • Participate in accounting system/procedures implementation teams.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and Accounting team in a highly professional manner.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance; both onsite and remote.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years as a successful accountant; public accounting or banking experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices. This role requires demonstrated experience of excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with effective planning and priority setting; ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced level knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience with finance, accounting, information systems and related disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA License preferred.
